After tabulating over 600 ballots, the Mitch Hawker Poll has declared Superman: Ride of Steel and T Express the #1 steel and wooden roller coasters in the world.

The steel coaster category was very competitive this year, the top five coasters' ratings being spanned over .01 of a point.

This is to say, Superman barely won, having snuck past Eagle Fortress in Everland, South Korea by .005 of a point.

The steel coaster poll was a surprising poll this year, as it showed the least amount of American coasters in the top 10 in the history of Mitch Hawker's Polls.  Only Superman: RoS and Behemoth made it to the top, while Millennium Force, Nitro, Goliath (SFoG), and Maverick dropped out.

Taking their place, Eagle Fortress roared into 2nd after not having enough riders in years past to be tabulated.  Further, Kawasemi and Piraten secured 4th and 5th place in their opening year.

Bring up the rear of the pack was #6 Nemesis, #7 Behemoth, #8 Goliath (WW), #9 Katun, and #10 Dragon Khan.

On to the Wooden Coaster category, T Express of Everland, South Korea claimed a flawless victory over some stiff competition, closely followed by the Voyage and El Toro.

It would appear the retrack work that was done on Boulder Dash was a good decision, as it moved up to 4th place from 6th place last year.

What's more, the former #1 Balder fell to #5 overall, while the Phoenix, Aska, newly built Troy and Ravine Flyer II, and Colossus filled in the rest of the top 10.
