Standing 167 ft. in the air, Rockit will feature a vertical lifthill, six near-misses, and multiple inversions, all while twisting and turning its way through the park and over a portion of the CityWalk area. It will also be the tallest roller coaster for Central Florida.

Rockit will also feature a number of new digital technologies now being introduced on roller coasters

Rockit will offer video displays in the waiting line as well as olor-changing LED lighting and digital audio and video effects during the ride.

The most notable feature is the onboard sound system, which will allow for riders to select the tunes they ride too, a concept first introduced at Universal Studios Japan with Hollywood Dream: The Ride (as well as LED lights on the train which light up at night to create a comet-like effect).

What's better, riders will be able to obtain a digital video recording of their ride, giving them the new ability to more easily share online through such venues as YouTube.

"This is the perfect intersection of the digital age and theme park entertainment," said Mark Woodbury, President of Creative for Universal Parks & Resorts. "'Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit' blends roller coaster intensity and guest interaction in a way where no two experiences will be the same."

Universal Studios has not announced a price tag to the new roller coaster.
